5 tips to lose weight

Many of us take a hard look at our rear and find it too big. To avoid spending the summer hiding it under a sarong or loose clothing, a few tips will help you lose your buttocks

Kim Kardashian and her ultra-plump buttocks flood the front pages of magazines and social networks. However, when you don't have the poise, the clothes and the sports coaches of an influencer, it is not always obvious to assume your post behind at the beach. Tips, presented in our slideshow, help you lose the fat that has settled there.

Buttock: beware of a sedentary lifestyle
Almost 7 in 10 French women (67%) admitted that they did not like certain aspects of their figure during a survey conducted by YouGov and the Meetic dating site in 2016. And the buttocks are part of these areas where women wear a critical eye.

Unfortunately, succeeding in losing a few inches on the back is not an easy task. The buttocks - like the abdomen and thighs - is an important fat storage area for women.

It is placed under the skin, but also between and at the heart of the muscles that form the buttocks. The fatty tissue present most often houses triglycerides, important energy reserves for the body.

In addition, without much surprise, sedentary lifestyle does not help having pretty buttocks. Researchers at Tel Aviv University have pointed out that the hours spent sitting (at your desk, in your car or on your couch) promote the accumulation of fat. Under the weight supported by the gluteal muscles in the sitting position, fat cells grow more and faster. The team had measured up to 50% more triglycerides, especially when the diet is too sweet.

Active gluteal muscles for a toned bottom
To get rid of this unsightly fat in the posterior and hips and tone these muscles, you simply have to reverse the balance of energy expenditure. In addition to adopting a balanced diet, it is advisable to do exercises that strengthen the muscles present in this part of the body.

Called the gluteal muscles, there are three different types:

The gluteal muscle (formerly called the gluteus maximus): this is the most powerful and voluminous muscle in the body. Its main role is to stabilize the pelvis and keep the trunk in line with the pelvis when standing. It is he who gives a rounded appearance to the buttocks.
The gluteal (or gluteal) means: it is located on the side, below the gluteus maximus. It is one of the muscles that connects the leg to the trunk at the level of the buttock. It is used for three-dimensional control of the pelvis, but also to absorb shocks when pressing on a foot.
The small gluteal (or small gluteus): triangular and flattened, this muscle is deep and is less developed than the others. It has a role similar to the gluteus medius.
To work all of these muscles and melt the fat in the buttocks, you have to vary the exercises. Some are, for example, dedicated to the upper muscles, others to the muscles located on the side. They are presented in our slideshow.
