A clinical helicopter conveying a newborn child patient to a Philadelphia medical clinic crashed Tuesday evening close to a congregation in a thickly populated private area only west of the city.

"It's an outright wonder what you see behind me," Upper Darby Police Superintendent Timothy Bernhardt said at the scene. "No trees or electrical cables down."
