embarrassed after Jay Leno unearthed footage of her performing on Star
Search back in 1990
She's now one of the most recognisable singers in the world.But
before she was well-known, Christina Aguilera did her best to make a
name for herself as a child star - performing on talent show Star Search
when she was just 10 years old.
While
Christina's Star Search past has been well-documented, the singer left
cringing when the footage of her on the show was unearthed by Jay Leno
during an interview on the programme.

However, Christina, 31, isn't the only star to have made a name for herself on Star Search.

Christina appeared on the show
to promote the newest series of US TV talent show The Voice, which marks
Aguilera's last on the panel as she has now been replaced by Shakira.
But for now, Christina is doing her bit to promote the programme, telling Leno: 'I think what makes the show really
special and why people appreciate it is the four of us, Adam Levine,
Blake Shelton, Cee Lo Green and myself are artists.
'And we have to
go out there, and we have to experience our fans, do our shows, record
our records and be artists ourselves so that we can be great coaches.'
Working it: Even as a 10-year-old, Christina had star potential
Christina added that she fully
intends to be back on the show in some capacity in the future, but is
keen to concentrate on 'fulfilling' her 'creative soul' through her
music.
