Washington Jr. High drops school Monday because of blackout
ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (KWQC) - School is dropped for understudies at Washington Junior High School in Rock Island.
The locale had recently postponed the beginning until 10 a.m. because of a blackout.
The region says MidAmerican is attempting to determine the issue.
BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - October 2021 has as of now experienced six 90°+ days in the Brazos Valley. Monday might bring the seventh, which could be adequately hot to be associated with years to come.
The untouched record high in Bryan-College Station for October 25th has a place with 1992, when the thermometer at Easterwood Airport came to 91°. That 29-year-old record has a genuine opportunity to be tied or broken Monday, with an estimate high scheduled to reach 92°. The last time a 90° temperature was capable on the 25th happened back in 2010, when the air terminal tipped 90° even.
Monday morning's low temperature will be significantly hotter than normal also - 15° or something like that above honestly. A conjecture low of 71° should fall a couple of degrees shy of the unsurpassed "record low most extreme" (otherwise known as the hottest low temperature on record).
October 2021 has been a particularly warm month for the Brazos Valley. As of Sunday night, the normal temperature - lows and highs considered - for the month was 75.9°. That right now puts this month as:
The second hottest initial 24 days of the month beginning around 1952, when records started at Easterwood Airport
Tied as the third hottest October ever on record.
Current status of a warm October in the Brazos Valley, as of the 24th
Fundamental estimate temperatures through the month's end hint that 2021 could be hauled down to the seventh hottest October ever on record, considering the line of somewhat less than ideal temperatures conjecture to finish off the month.
More subtleties and a gander at the temperature pattern once a virus front arrives at the Brazos Valley mid-week are remembered for the video above.
