Tragedy as 'totally healthy' mother, 26, dies just hours after giving birth to baby boy: Friends and relatives raise thousands to give 'The Little Dancing Queen' the perfect send-off

Tragedy struck as a young and seemingly healthy woman passed away just hours after giving birth to a baby boy. Emily Lockley, who had always cherished the dream of becoming a mother, suffered a suspected pulmonary aneurysm during labor, causing damage to her heart. Despite the efforts of medical professionals to resuscitate her, Emily tragically passed away just four hours after the birth of her son, Harley.

The devastating loss has left baby Harley without a mother, and his father, Tyler Collinson, 27, now faces the challenge of raising their child alongside Emily's grieving family. Chloe Stokes, Emily's younger sister, described the death, which occurred a day after Emily's 26th birthday, as a complete shock since Emily had a perfectly normal pregnancy.

In response to the heartbreaking situation, a fundraiser has been started to support little Harley and cover the expenses for Emily's funeral. The family affectionately referred to Emily as "The Little Dancing Queen" due to her love for ABBA. The fundraiser has already raised over £12,000. Emily and her partner had been living with her family in Stoke-on-Trent, including her mother Tracey Wootton, step-father Mark Wootton, and step-brother Kieran Wootton.

Mrs. Wootton expressed her commitment to caring for her beautiful grandson Harley, assuring him that the family would convey the love he would be receiving from his late mother in heaven. Harley and his father continue to reside with the Wootton family as Tyler navigates the challenges of parenthood without his beloved partner.

Tyler spoke lovingly about Emily, expressing their shared excitement about becoming parents and the immense faith she instilled in him as a father-to-be. He considered himself the luckiest man in the world for having Emily by his side and described her as one in a million.

Emily's social media posts were filled with her anticipation and joy about impending motherhood. She shared photos of herself with a radiant smile, cradling her baby bump, along with captions expressing her excitement for the journey ahead. A gender reveal party and sonograms of her "lil bubs" were also documented.

According to her family, Emily had always dreamed of being a mother and desired to have two or three children. Her labor began on February 5, coinciding with her birthday, and she was admitted to Royal Stoke University Hospital accompanied by her mother and partner. After being induced at midnight on February 6, Emily suddenly became lethargic, took a deep breath, and collapsed. She was swiftly taken to the operating theater, where Harley was safely delivered at 7:56 am. However, by noon, the devastating news of Emily's passing was delivered to the family. Despite resuscitation attempts, the cause of death, suspected to be a pulmonary aneurysm, could not be reversed.

Emily's younger sister highlights the resemblance between Harley and their late sister, noting that he has her big blue eyes, her nose, and an overall resemblance to Emily. A tribute on the GoFundMe page set up for Emily describes her as a woman who had always dreamed of becoming a mother and kept her little boy safe, cherishing her dream life.

While grappling with this horrific loss, the family expresses gratitude for the care provided by the neonatal unit, which ensured Harley's well-being during this difficult time.
