A toddler has died after a residence collapsed in an explosion in Thornton Heath, paramedics have stated.
The baby changed into reported dead at the scene, the London Ambulance Service said in an update, while three people have been taken to sanatorium after an explosion in a property on Galpin’s Road on Monday morning.
The London Fire Brigade stated a terraced residence had collapsed and neighbouring houses were broken.

The Brigade’s 999 Control Officers have taken 13 calls to the incident, it said. The motive of the fire and explosion is currently unknown.
Police were also referred to as to the explosion.
One resident said on social media: “I heard it whilst getting ready for paintings and idea it gave the impression of an explosion however hoped I turned into wrong and that it turned into at a constructing web site or some thing.”

A Merton Council spokesperson stated earlier Monday: “Emergency offerings are on website following a fuel explosion at a residential property, as a minimum one assets has been destroyed. We are urging humans to avoid the vicinity.
“Firefighters are presently sporting out systematic searches and working to make the scene safe.”
An evacuation centre has been hooked up at the nearby New Horizons network centre.
