NatWest has not found out the purpose for the outage, however has confirmed offerings are now back up and running.

According to DownDetector, the issue appeared to be affecting NatWest and RBS customers across the UK


Another brought: 'I can't get into my banking on the app or on-line however I need to switch myself some money in order that I do not go into my overdraft and get charged.'


And one vented: 'Mobile app down AGAIN, how long is it going to be this time, got bills to pay these days, this app is so unreliable, all very well offering those services when you can not hold them operating.' 


NatWest's Help account on Twitter spoke back to many customers about their worries.


In one respond, it said: 'There is a technical issue with the app which has simply took place and is presently being looked into. 


'Rest assured we can get the issue resolved ASAP. If you may strive the app in a touch at the same time as.'
