Police shut A350 in Chippenham after ‘serious’ crash - traffic updates

A phase of the A350 has been closed in both directions following a crash.

Police have shut a hectic A-street in Chippenham after a severe crash.

The A350 in closed in both directions among Bumpers Farm roundabout and Cepen Park South roundabout.

The crash befell around 5am.

In a declaration, Wiltshire Police said the road is expected to remain closed for “numerous hours”.

‘Find an alternative route’

The A350 in Chippenham is closed in both instructions among Bumpers Farm roundabout and Cepen Park South roundabout following a extreme collision at about 5am,” the force tweeted.

“The avenue is possibly to stay closed for numerous hours. Please are searching for an alternative path. Thank you.”

Road still shut

The road is still shut, Inrix confirms: "A350 in both directions closed due to accident investigation work from Sandown Drive (Cepen Park South roundabout) to A420 Bristol Road (Bumpers Farm roundabout).

"The road has been closed since around 05:00 this morning."
