THE M5 is closed northbound between Bridgwater and Burnham-on-Sea because of an overturned tanker and a spillage of milk. 

The motorway is closed among junction 23 (Bridgwater North) and junction 22 (Burnham-On-Sea).

A stay update at the AA Route Planner website, suggested at 12:30pm, stated: "Road closed and queueing site visitors because of rolled over tanker and spillage of milk on M5 Northbound between J23 A39 (Bridgwater North) and J22 (Burnham-on-Sea).


"Detour in operation via the A38 via Hunstspill and Highbridge to rejoin at J22."
