A STRETCH of the M8 in Glasgow has been shut because of a frightfulness crash on the motorway.

It is perceived an artic truck collided with the focal reservation and crushed into a gantry.

Crisis teams hustled to the scene at around 11.50am after reports of a two-vehicle crush close to intersection 13.


Officials are at present at the scene.


Photographs from the scene show the truck jack-cut under a gantry on the motorway.


Drivers are confronting extensive deferrals and asked to accept elective courses as the westward carriageway is shut.


Cops affirm enquiries are progressing.


A Police Scotland representative said: "Around 11:50am on Friday, 21 January 2022 police were called to reports of a two vehicle crash on the M8 westward close to intersection 13.
