The A3 has allegedly been shut in the two headings for five miles following what has been portrayed as a "genuine mishap".

The disturbance has happened between the A25/A322 (Wooden Bridge/Dennis Roundabout) and the A3100 (Burpham), as indicated by traffic site Inrix.

Blockage stretches to the Hurtmore switch off Northbound, to before the urntcommon switch off Southbound, on the redirection course and on streets around Jacobs Well.

The mishap, which has been portrayed as "genuine," happened at around 2am toward the beginning of today (Tuesday, January 11).
