The Duke and Duchess of Sussex went to an alluring function in New York City the previous evening to praise the military just before Veterans Day in the US and Armistice Day in Britain. 

Meghan Markle showed up at the 'Salute to Freedom' occasion - hung on a plane carrying warship which houses the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum - in a streaming red Carolina Herrera outfit with a long train which was sliced to the thigh. 

The 40-year-old mother-of-two's dress for the function coordinated with her red glossy silk $350 (£260) Giuseppe Zanotti slingback stilettos - a shading picked to coordinate with the red poppies she and Prince Harry both wore on their outfits. 

Harry was in dark tie, with the KCVO (Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order) Neck Order and Star on his necktie. This is a decoration given by the Queen in acknowledgment of recognized individual support of the government.
