REASONS WHY SECOND-HAND BUYERS WERE DISSATISFIED WITH THE CAR THEY BOUGHT
• 54%: The car was not worth the asking price
• 28%: The car didn't drive well
• 28%: The car looked worse than its photos
• 24%: The body work was in bad condition
• 22%: The interior was tatty
• 21%: The car was going to need more work than expected
• 20%: The owner seemed dodgy
More than
a quarter (28 per cent) said the vehicle they bought didn't drive well
and the same number said the model didn't look as good in reality as it
did in the advertised photos.
Others
were disappointed with the condition of the car, with 24 per cent
saying the body work was in bad condition and 22 per cent claiming the
interior was tatty.
Even
more worrying was the 13 per cent who said they had to fork out for
unexpected repairs to the vehicle and one in ten said their new wheels
broke down within a month.
