Investing in a classic car could be better than putting your money in property or the FTSE although few could afford the likes of this Ferrari 250 GTO Berlinetta which sold last year for an astonishing £23m

Investing in classic cars, gold and jewels is a better bet than the FTSE or high-end property according to Knight Frank report

Over the past ten years its index has beaten the FTSE 100 index – not taking into account dividend reinvestment – and prime London homes. Over the past 12 months it rose by 10 per cent compared with a rise of only 1 per cent for the top end of the central London housing market
