Anthony Hamilton
Anthony Hamilton incorporates the southern R&B
styles of Ray Charles into his Neo-Soul grooves which have made him a
constant on R&B radio. He has been performing since the mid-90s,
but he hit a home run with his sophomore album Comin' From Where I'm From
in 2003. His honest lyrics include tell his struggles with poverty and
love and have struck chords with audiences across the US. Don't miss a
date on the Anthony Hamilton concert schedule 2011. Use Eventful as

Anthony Hamilton hails from Charlotte, North Carolina where he honed his
vocal abilities in his church's choir. After high school, he moved to
New York to pursue a recording career. He was noticed by Andre Harrell
who signed Hamilton to his Uptown Records. Hamilton released his debut
album XTC in 1996. Although the album featured the moderately
successful hit "Nobody Else", the project ultimately failed to connect
with audiences and Hamilton was subsequently dropped from the record
label. Fans would have to wait seven long years until Hamilton released
any more solo material.
In the interim, Anthony Hamilton tour dates were scheduled alongside Neo-Soul guru D'Angelo on his international Voodoo Tour
in 2000. Hamilton also sung the hook on the Grammy nominated single,
"Po' Folks", by the Nappy Roots. Hamilton released his breakthrough
platinum album Comin' From Where I'm From in 2003 which featured
the lead-off single of the same name. The album also featured his
biggest radio hit to-date, "Charlene", and sold 1.2 million copies in
the US. Hamilton became a bonofied R&B sensation and Anthony
Hamilton tour dates were scheduled in response to fan demand for his
live shows.
Anthony Hamilton followed-up with his 2005 effort Ain't Nobody Worryin'. The album featured the single "Can't Let Go" and was certified Gold. Hamilton released his latest effort, The Point of it All,
in 2008 which became his third consecutive Gold selling album. It
featured the smooth single "Cool" in which Hamilton effortlessly belts
out his carefree lyrics of love conquering all problems. The album
garnered him three nominations at the 2010 Grammy Awards. It proved to
be his most critically acclaimed album to date and his fans are eagerly
awaiting his next release. In the meantime, Anthony Hamilton tour dates
are scheduled periodically throughout 2011. Hamilton rarely performs,
so don't miss out if tour dates are scheduled in your area. Use Eventful
