Christina Aguilera shows off weight loss with polished look for romantic dinner with boyfriend

Christina Aguilera looked as though she had slimmed down considerably since the American Music Awards in November as she headed out for dinner with boyfriend Matthew Rutler

The 31-year-old donned a green and blue frock that clung to her curves as she dined at The Little Door restaurant in west Hollywood.

 She's come under a lot of flack for her weight gain over the past few months.

But the singer looks to have slimmed down as she headed out for a romantic meal with boyfriend Matthew Rutler.

But while the high-neck, long-sleeved dress she wore may have appeared demure in comparison to her usual style, it was more alluring than it seemed at first glance. 

 The clingy two-toned dress created a flattering silhouette for the curvy star. and some height was added with towering black platform heels.

Christina and Matthew were enjoying date night at the intimate venue, considered one of the most romantic restaurants in town.

The star recently hit back at her critics over her weigh, saying: 'As long as I'm happy in my own skin, that's all I need, that's all the confirmation I need. I'm happy where I am, I have a boyfriend that loves my body, I love my body, my son is healthy and happy. That's all that matters.'

The night off last night will have been a welcome break from the mounting pressure on The Voice.

This week Christina was forced to send home two acts in the first elimination show.

'They’re all such unique talents and it’s like comparing apples and oranges,' she told The Hollywood Reporter after the show. 'How do you really send someone home? I had to go with my heart.'

As she and fellow coach Blake Shelton each turned away two acts, Christina told the contestants: ‘I just have to say, your song choices were spot on. I loved seeing the versatility in all of you.

‘I have a special place in my heart for all of you, but I have to go with my instinct and my gut and my heart, and that’s Ashley.’

She eliminated Moses Stone and Sera Hill.
