Spencer Matthews Shocks Fans with Decision to Step Down from Podcast with Vogue Williams

In a surprising announcement, Spencer Matthews has revealed that he will be stepping down from the popular podcast he co-hosts with his wife, Vogue Williams, known as "Spencer & Vogue." The married couple launched the podcast over four years ago, and since then, it has garnered a significant following, even leading to a live tour that showcased their chemistry and humor.

A New Chapter for Spencer

On Tuesday, the 36-year-old entrepreneur shared his decision during the latest episode of the podcast, explaining that he intends to focus on other projects and embark on an upcoming "adventure." "I’m moving on from this podcast to pursue other business interests and focus on my upcoming challenge," Spencer stated. He expressed gratitude for the listeners who have made the show a success, saying, "I’ve loved doing this show, and it would never have been as popular without the listeners."

Spencer added, "I’ll miss the show enormously, and Vogue, I’ll miss working with you in this capacity, but I will be replaced by somebody of equal or superior charisma, much funnier, and very happy to talk about gossip. We both love her very much, and she’s an epic member of our family, and she’ll do an incredible job!"

Vogue's Heartfelt Response

Vogue responded to Spencer's announcement with a mix of humor and sincerity. "I’ll obviously be sad to see you go, but I see you all day, every day," she said. "So I’ll be sad to see you go, but I won’t miss you because I’ll see you at home! Spencer & Vogue will continue, and we will keep it in the family!"

Vogue confirmed that her sister, Amber Wilson, would be stepping in as co-host. The show will be rebranded as "Vogue & Amber," allowing the sisters to explore their dynamic and share their insights on various topics.

Amber Steps Up

Amber expressed her excitement about joining the podcast full-time, saying, "Vogue finally twisted my arm—here I am sitting in a podcast seat with her! I’m buzzing to be joining the podcast with my best friend and sister, Vogue." She acknowledged the challenge of filling Spencer's shoes but reassured listeners, "Don’t worry, Vogue and I are coming in hot with all the fun, energy, and juicy gossip you can handle."

Amber added a playful note, stating, "And you’ll all finally get a chance to get to know me—the funnier sister! We’ll be giving listeners a peek behind the curtain of our family life, sisterly antics, and, Spencer, rest easy, I know exactly how to push Vogue’s buttons!"

The Journey of Spencer & Vogue

Launched in August 2020, "Spencer & Vogue" provided listeners with a weekly glimpse into the lives of its hosts and their three children: Theodore (five), Gigi (three), and Otto (two). The couple delved into the chaos of raising three young children, shared insights on maintaining a successful marriage, and discussed balancing busy work lives with family time. Their candid discussions resonated with many listeners, forming a strong bond between the couple and their audience.

Personal Reflections on Family Expansion

While Spencer prepares to leave the podcast for new ventures, the couple has recently opened up about their personal lives, particularly regarding the possibility of expanding their family. In September, Vogue admitted that she "has a timer on herself" when it comes to deciding on baby number four with Spencer.

She explained that while Spencer would be ready to have another child "straight away," she is more cautious and considers the challenges of carrying a baby for nine months, especially as she approaches her 40th birthday. "If I said, 'Let’s go with it,' Spencer would do it straight away," she noted. "But I think of the logistics, whereas he doesn’t. And he doesn’t have to carry a baby for nine months, so it’s a bit more of a decision for me."

Vogue humorously added, "I’ll probably still be thinking about it when I’m 50! I don’t want to have a child when I’m 40 because I feel like I’m going to start getting tired. That’s when I want to be going into my granny era and chilling out!"

The Future of Vogue & Amber

Listeners can look forward to the new iteration of the podcast, "Vogue & Amber," which will be available starting January 14 on Global Player and all major podcast platforms. With Amber stepping in, the show promises to maintain its engaging and entertaining format while introducing fresh perspectives and stories from the sisters' lives.

As Spencer moves on to explore new opportunities, fans of "Spencer & Vogue" can continue to enjoy the dynamic discussions and heartfelt moments that have made the podcast a beloved staple in the world of entertainment. The transition marks an exciting new chapter for Vogue and Amber, who are eager to share their unique bond and experiences with listeners in the episodes to come.
