Man United REFUSE to loan out Harry Maguire to West Ham - as they need money for two targets

Manchester United has made it clear that they will not entertain a loan deal for Harry Maguire. While the England defender is open to leaving for more first-team football, United insists they will only consider a sale. West Ham had previously failed to reach a £30 million agreement with United, and the club still needs to raise funds through sales in order to strengthen their own squad.

United's primary focus is on acquiring a left-back, with players like Marc Cucurella from Chelsea, Marcos Alonso from Barcelona, and Rico Henry from Brentford among their options. They are also looking to sign a midfielder, with Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich and Sofyan Ambrabat from Fiorentina on their radar. As of now, United is unaware of any interest from Bayern Munich in Scott McTominay.

West Ham's immediate priority is to bring in another striker, and they are in negotiations with Corinthians over the signing of forward Yuri Alberto. While there is interest in Michail Antonio, David Moyes is reluctant to let him go despite Al-Ettifaq, managed by Steven Gerrard, showing interest.

Chelsea is considering several forward targets, including Ferran Torres and Raphinha from Barcelona, as well as Emile Smith Rowe from Arsenal. However, discussions are not particularly advanced at this stage.

Tottenham is looking to offload several players from their squad before the deadline, but Eric Dier would prefer to see out his contract and leave as a free agent next year. Tottenham is also hoping to sell left-back Sergio Reguilon, with interest from Fulham, Manchester United, and Forest. Other players drawing interest include Davinson Sanchez from Forest, Fulham, and Monaco, as well as Giovani Lo Celso from Napoli. There could be a surprise return from Paris Saint-Germain for midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.

Tottenham's move for Brennan Johnson is expected to progress after their Carabao Cup game with Fulham. Talks have been ongoing, and Tottenham is willing to offer a combination of cash and players. Nottingham Forest will have the opportunity to assess potential fits for their team during this game. Brentford has also made another approach for Johnson.

The decision of Ian Maatsen, Chelsea's Holland U21 international left-back, regarding a new contract could impact Marc Cucurella's potential departure from Stamford Bridge. If Maatsen doesn't commit to a new deal, Chelsea may reconsider letting Cucurella go. There is interest in Maatsen from Burnley, Borussia Dortmund, and West Ham. Chelsea has also shown interest in Valentin Barco, a left-back from Boca Juniors, but Manchester City is likely to secure his signing.
