In excess of 1,200 properties in West Cork are without power today.

ESB Networks says 1,286 in the Castletownbere region are impacted.

It is assessed that power will be reestablished around 10.45am.

It brings the quantity of properties without power in Cork earlier today to right around 2,900.

In excess of 1,500 properties in Cork are without power earlier today as Storm Barra makes landfall.

1,522 properties in the Bishopstown region are right now without power because of an issue.
