2.8 magnitude earthquake felt in western Contra Costa County

 


HERCULES— A greatness 2.8 tremor was momentarily felt in the East Bay early Saturday morning, as indicated by the U.S. Geographical Survey. 

The tremor, which had a focal point around 2 miles southeast of Hercules, happened at 6:34 a.m. with an underlying profundity of around 6 miles, the USGS detailed. 

A guide delivered by USGS demonstrates the tremor was focused not a long way from Hercules Middle School. Client submitted reactions mirror that the tremor was felt as far south as Fremont. 

USGS didn't quickly report any wounds or harm related with the tremor.
