 Clean your bedspreads and blankets:

Cleaning Bedspreads and Blankets Who doesn't like to sleep very comfortably? And reach the degree of deep sleep?

But there are discomforts that obstruct this, the most important of which is dirty and unclean bed, so we must set up a periodic program to clean it, but before cleaning we are supposed to know the nature of the fabrics used in the manufacture of the bed and blankets, so that we know well how to clean it and the correct way to do so.

So always keep care labels for bedspreads and accessories, and follow the recommended directions.

So what are the necessary instructions for cleaning the bed?

How do we deal with bed linen, blankets, duvets, pillows and bedspreads?

How do we deal with a box of bed springs?

This is what we will learn about in this article.

1 - Cleaning bed sheets and duvets:

The sides of the bed are always made of different types of fabrics, most of them are washable, and they should be washed periodically even before traces of dirt appear on them.

First, deal with the stains that appear on the sides of the bed by using the cleaning spray that is used before washing:

Before you clean the bedspread, try to dip one tip of it in the cleaning solution that you intend to use, to make sure that this cleaner does not affect the colors of the bed sheet or destroy it.

If it turns out that the type of sheet fabric is sensitive to cleaning solutions and dissolves quickly in its colors, then clean it in a method called "dry cleaning".

It is better to use a large washing machine to clean the bed sheets, as it is more effective in cleaning than small washing machines, because the large area helps more in cleaning from the crowded spaces.

Then dry the sheets either on your home's clothesline or via a commercial dryer:

What distinguishes quilts is that they contain more than one type of fabric in a single quilt, but despite this, most of them, even woolen ones, can be washed either manually or by washing machine.

Here are four helpful tips to help you keep smacking in general:

1 - Clean them periodically, and remove dust.

2 - Fan it on the clothesline every once in a while.

3- Fix or replace the duvet covers if they are perforated, before you start washing them.

4 - Do not wash the electric duvets using the "dry cleaning" method, as this will damage the wires in them.

2 - Clean bed linen and blankets:

Wool, cotton, or polyester fibers are usually filling materials in bed linen, as the inner filling is held in place by specific stitching patterns.

Most of the covers that are filled with cotton or polyester can be washed, but some old covers are preferable not to be washed at home, and this is why they may need a special method of washing.

However, always check the label instructions that come with the covers.

And don't forget to keep these things in mind:

1 - You should clean the patchwork bed linen in a careful and calm manner.

2- Avoid washing velvet or silk blankets and bedspreads, unless they are of the "washable" type.

3 - Bed linen should be washed in large washing machines. Let them before that and the quilts in the washing machine soak for 10 minutes, then you should wash them lightly.

4- Old quilts, cotton quilts and fragile quilts must be hand washed and dried by hand as well, because commercial washing machine washing is strong and can cause harm.

So put water in the bathtub, for example, let the detergent dissolve in it, then put the quilt to be washed.

Inner filling and bed linen:

The inner filling of the blankets is fixed in place by certain stitching patterns, most bed linen and inner fillings can be washed by hand, but some old covers prefer not to be washed at home and therefore because they may need a special method of washing, and do not forget to put the end of the quilt in the cleaning solution before Use it to make sure it is harmless to the colors of the quilt.

Use cold water and an all-purpose detergent to wash fine blankets and bed linen in the washing machine, but if they are not in good condition then clean them by hand either in the bathtub or in a large wash basin.

After washing, try to spread the wet blanket on a long sawing rope to help it dry faster. If the blanket is strong then you can dry it with a tumble dryer. You can use it without heat and rely only on dry air in it.

Finally, here's how to clean your mattresses, box springs, and pillows.

3- Cleaning your mattresses, box springs, and pillows:

And they are the last things you need to learn to clean in beds.

Mattresses and Spring Box:

Sponges and several types of springs are usually made of bedspreads, except for the old ones. They can be made of hair, and there can be some types that are made of cotton.

Try to turn your mattress over at the end of each month so that the pressure on both ends of the mattress is equal.

It is best to put a face on the upholstery to prevent it from getting dirty as much as possible.

If the bedspread is dirty, try to remove the stains immediately, and try as much as possible to reduce the wetness of the bedspread when cleaning it, and do not use it until it is completely dry.

Pillows:

And the pillows, as before, need regular cleaning, by changing their covers regularly.

The most important factor in cleaning pillows is knowing the type of padding inside them, as it will determine the method by which cleaning will be carried out.

For example, in pillows filled with polyester, you should read the care instructions for the pillow, because some of them are washable and others are not.

There are some pillows covered with "kapok" that cannot be washed, but only cleaned.

It is also preferred that you adhere to the following tips:

1- Cover all pillows with a cotton or polyester cover.

2- You should ventilate the pillows approximately once a month, by spreading them outdoors.

3- As for pillows stuffed with feathers or small fluff, you have to ventilate them more to get rid of dirt and dust inside, and redistribute the filling well inside the pillow.

4- Before washing, make sure that there is no hole in the pillow, especially if it is stuffed with feathers.

You can manually or automatically wash the stuffed pillows with feathers or small fluff, but you should use cold water with a mild detergent.

You can wash two pillows together.

5- At a low temperature, try to dry the feather pillow.

6- As for sponge pillows, they are washed by hand and dried, but do not forget to change the spreading position when drying so that water does not collect at one end of it, and never put sponge pillows in the dryer.

7- Hand or machine wash polyester-filled pillows using warm water, with a multi-purpose detergent, and dry them at a moderate temperature.
