Pandemic superheroes
Those who never give up
These days nurses have been the compass that set the moral course of the country, showing that a little more can always be done. In this guild, where 84.2% of its components are women, examples of minute-by-minute heroics have been given. In hospitals we have seen them make gowns with garbage bags and care for patients with ski goggles and shower caps.
According to the General College of Nursing, of the more than 19,400 health workers who have been infected with the virus these days, more than 60% are nurses according to their estimates. Four of its associates have already died of the virus. And despite that effort, they have never stopped. Quite the opposite. The first night on which a round of applause was given from the balconies, they ran to record a video to return the gesture to their fellow citizens.
A comic book-like homage
Víctor Santos (Valencia, 1977) is one of the great comic book artists on the world stage. Last year he was a finalist for the Eisner Premisos (the Oscars of the comic) for his work 'Bad Girls'. He had previously received a long collection of awards such as six awards from the Barcelona International Comic-Con. Netflix has already brought to the screen one of its comics, 'Polar' while the French production company Gaumont is preparing a cartoon series with her work 'The Mice Templar'.
This artist has been in charge of drawing for this medium a series entitled 'The Superheroes of the Pandemic' in which he pays his particular tribute to the thousands of people who are fighting the coronavirus and its effects every day. In the next fourteen days his works will be presented.
