Carrie Symons has announced she has coronavirus after fiancee Boris Johnson went into isolation with the deadly pathogen.

Ms Symonds, 32, posted on Twitter earlier today and said: 'I've spent the past week in bed with the most symptoms of Coronavirus. i have never needed to be tested and, after seven days of rest, I feel stronger and i am on the mend.

'Being pregnant with Covid-19 is clearly worrying. To other pregnant women, please do read and follow the foremost up so far guidance which I found to be v reassuring.'

Pregnant women were placed during a vulnerable group by the Chief medic Chris Whitty on March 16.

The latest figures have shown that there are 41,903 confirmed cases of coronavirus within the UK with a current price of 4,313.
Health Minister Nadine Dorries, who was struck down with Covid-19 three weeks ago, has already taken to social media in response to Ms Symond's post.

She wrote: 'I've been chatting with @carriesymonds regularly throughout.

'She presented with and has been through the classic signs and symptoms most of the people experience with #COVID19 She is now recovering and getting stronger day by day. #InThisTogether.'

Ms Symonds's announcement comes after fiancee Boris Johnson was forced into isolation last Friday with coronavirus symptoms.

The Prime Minister was thanks to exit quarantine in Downing Street yesterday, seven days after testing positive, but during a recent video message he confirmed that he continues to possess a heat and can therefore remain in isolation.

He said: 'Although I'm feeling better, and i have done my seven days of isolation, alas I still have one among the symptoms, a minor symptom - I still have a temperature.

'So in accordance with Government advice i need to continue my self-isolation until that symptom itself goes.'
Mr Johnson also urged people today to stay to the regulations over the weekend and to not be tempted by the forecast of excellent weather.

He said: 'I reckon tons of individuals are going to be beginning to think that this is often all happening for quite while and would preferably be getting out there, particularly if you've kids within the household, everybody could also be getting a touch stir crazy, and there could also be just a temptation to urge out there, hang around and begin to interrupt the regulations.

'I just urge you to not do this . Please, please persist with the guidance now.

'This country has made an enormous effort, an enormous sacrifice, done absolutely brilliantly well in delaying the spread of the virus.

'Let's persist with it now - remember that incredible clapping again last night for our fantastic NHS. We're doing it to guard them and to save lots of lives.'

His official spokesman also told reporters: 'He does still have mild symptoms, especially a heat .

'The guidance is obvious that if you continue to have a heat you ought to keep self isolating until it returns to normal.'
