While the elderly and people with pre-existing medical conditions are the toughest hit by the virus, WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus warned that children were also vulnerable.
'Today I even have a message for young people: you're not invincible.
'This virus could put you in hospital for weeks - or maybe kill you,' Tedros said.
'Even if you do not get sick, the alternatives you create about where you go might be the difference between life and death for somebody else.'
China on Saturday reported no new local infections for a 3rd straight day, and therefore the WHO said the central Chinese city of Wuhan, where the virus emerged late last year, offered a glimmer of 'hope for the remainder of the world'.
