Facebook users were in a frenzy on Friday as the social media giant experienced worldwide service issues.

Issues with the site began to pop up globally just before 9:30 Friday morning
Reports came from eastern US, Europe, South American coasts, northern Africa
By late morning, it appeared most of the problems had been resolved

Just before 9:30 a.m. (ET), users from the United States to northern Africa began to report a slew of problems accessing the site, with most saying they were been hit by a 'total blackout.'

As of late Friday morning, the connectivity issues seem to have been mostly resolved, though some users are still reporting sporadic issues.

Frustrated Facebook users said they saw nothing but a blank screen in some cases, while others reported their feed was stuck on old posts and wouldn't refresh. 
Reports started piling in at 9:28 a.m. across several outage-tracking websites, including DownDetector.
By 9:45, there were already hundreds of reported issues and the numbers continued to rise
