Dragon Quest XI S Nintendo Switch port is now confirmed for a worldwide release on the said console. This upcoming port of the long-running Japanese RPG series will be officially titled Dragon Quest XI Echoes of an Elusive Age S – Definitive Edition.
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age S – Definitive Edition is expected to release sometime in Fall this year. It will feature the same sprawling content of the original, but promises a whole bunch of new features including new music, new character storylines, and the ability to revert the overall look of the game from HD to retro inspired 16-bit visuals, that appears to have a similarity with the original Nintendo 3DS version of the game.
This Definitive Edition of the game also features audio tracks that can be switched between English and Japanese records according to your preference. In addition, players will also be able to manually adjust the battle speed, which is perfect for advanced and newcomers, especially if they find the game a little too overwhelming compared to some RPGs today.
