He said: ‘It’s a hell of a lot of extra time and money wasted. It’s probably £1,000 per tax return so if you are doing that four times a year that’s a lot of money – I would want to know why it’s being changed.’
Mr Riley said although his company is able to look after its payroll, tax returns ‘just seem to get more and more complicated and you have to get an accountant.’
‘It’s so hard to keep up with the changes,’ he added.
Mr Riley was inspired by his father’s fudge company to set up on his own. He had previously worked in the mining industry.
