Benji Madden talking about his new life with Cameron Diaz 'I'm really happy right now'

Cameron Diaz is having an immense effect on boyfriend of three months, Benji Madden.

The musician spoke to People magazine at Alt 98.7 Penthouse Party at Hollywood Tower on Wednesday about his new love and how their relationship has influenced his work.

'I'm really happy right now', the 35-year-old said, referring to his whirlwind romance with the 41-year-old blonde beauty.

'It's same for any man, no matter what they do. It drives you,' he said.

He continued: 'All people, I think, react the same way to the same situations … like we were saying with Joel being a father … we all want to be the best we can be.'

And it appears Benji is doing just that - trying to be his very best self for the Sex Tape actress.

The former Good Charlotte band member was spotted looking trim and slick while out and about while solo in West Hollywood, California on Tuesday.

Having just returned back to Los Angeles from a European holiday with his lady, the rocker stopped in at the Andy Lecompte Salon for a style touch up.

Whether it was the getaway, the new 'do or Cameron's infamous sex diet, Benji appeared to have a little bit more of a dapper appearance about him.

Donning a pair of black pants and a white T-shirt, the guitarist wore his hair slicked back, while his beard was perfectly trimmed.
