When pop royalty meets! Madonna teams up with Katy Perry in teaser snaps for racy bondage-inspired shoot

One carries the monniker the Queen Of Pop and the other is well on her way to nabbing the title for herself.

In one shot, Madonna is seen wearing a black leather dress as she stands on her hands and knees, Katy's legs and her hand holding a small whip visible to the side.

The mother-of-four wears her platinum blonde hair wavy with a short fringe, and adds a further vixen touch with crimson lips.

The picture title is, 'Madonna... and guess who?'.

Now, Madonna and Katy Perry have played up their rivalry in a new magazine shoot.

The 55-year-old and her 29-year-old competition wear leather as they appear together in two bondage-inspired teaser snaps for V Magazine's upcoming Summer 2014 issue.

In the other snap, Katy wears a similar long-sleeved leather dress as she lies on her stomach on the floor, reaching for her pelt.

She wears her green highlighted hair in voluminous curls and contrasts her porcelain skin with dark red lipstick.

Madonna's leg clad in sheer tights is seen in the frame, apparently keeping Katy from retrieving her whip.

Hard worker: Katy, who has sold nearly 11 million albums, earlier this month launched The Prismatic World Tour in Northern Ireland, pictured last week in London
