Video Lily Cole gets a wild makeover as she takes on an Amazonian adventure for new TV series

The 25-year-old model cast aside her usual preened and polished look in favour of dramatic eye make-up made from Annatto plant seeds in the Brazilian Amazon.

She's most likely to be seen strutting her stuff on the hottest catwalks in some of the world's most glamorous cities.

But Lily Cole underwent a wild makeover as she swapped the runway for the rainforest as part of a new television show for Sky Arts 1.

Lily Cole's Amazon Adventure, which will be broadcast on Sky Arts 1 on March 17, sees the flame-haired beauty investigate the creation of a green economy and look into alternative ways of making a sustainable income from materials, such as rubber, to encourage locals to stop deforesting. Working as an ambassador for Sky Rainforest Rescue, Lily was accompanied on her mission by multiple award-winning photographer and filmmaker, Adrian Steirn, as she narrated the documentary.
