She is not exactly renowned for being the sharpest knife in the drawer.
But quick-thinking Snooki displayed a modicum of common sense when a shower started in Seaside Heights today, quickly emptying a plastic bag and pulling it over her head.
The heavily pregnant reality television personality was joined for her venture outside by her housemate Ronnie Ortiz, who laughed and gave her a consolatory hug when the rain began.

In fact he seemed to have taken her idea on board, as he had wrapped his feet in plastic carriers.
And while the shower was still going on, it was still possible to see a rainbow, as Snooki - real name Nicole Polizzi - wore multi-coloured painted fingernails.
The 24-year-old also seemed to be taking the bad weather in her stride, perhaps confident her furry boots would spare her the embarrassment of another tumble.

So far she has refused to let her pregnancy cramp her style, but it appeared the time had come for her to adopt some more sensible footwear.
The Jersey Shore star, who is now six months pregnant, went to the shops earlier today in an ill-fitting pair of platform sandals causing her to take a tumble.
The reality TV actress quickly regained her footing and laughed off the incident, but it seems it caused her to rethink her footwear strategy.
