Face it Lindsay, that's not a good look: Lohan appears older than her years with puffy pillow face, big brows and blotchy fake tan

She may only be 25-years-old, but judging by her appearance at a New York event tonight, Lindsay Lohan's youthful looks are falling by the wayside.

The actress displayed a puffy 'pillow' face, along with unsightly dark eyebrows and a botched blotchy fake tan at the television upfronts event for the A&E U.S. network.

Her lips also looked suspiciously pillow-like as she posed for photographs on the red carpet.

The star showed off her toned legs in an ultra short lace mini dress as she arrived at today's Manhattan event
Unfortunately for the Mean Girls star, the flashes from the bank of red carpet photographers only served to highlight the patchy make-up job.

The actress had clearly made an effort with her dress, stepping out in a black and gold lacy mini dress and spiky heels.

Lohan has been making a recent effort to relaunch her career, making a guest appearance on hit show Glee and meeting up with film director Woody Allen.

Strike a pose: Lindsay looked more than comfortable in front of the bank of photographers

Bright lights, big fashion: Lohan posed in the lace long-sleeved mini-dress with spiky black heels in front of a bank of red carpet photographers
The star has always been a fan of the spray tan, and has her own range of self tanning lotion.
She was at the upfront event - a vehicle for promoting the network's upcoming shows to advertisers -  after being signed to play Elizabeth Taylor in a new Lifetime movie.
Shooting for the film is set to begin in Los Angeles on June 4, but as yet, no male actor has been cast to play Taylor's two-time husband Richard Burton in the project.
