Got 27 out of 30 for the routine, but it was the lowest score of the night
As any star who has competed on TV talent shows such as Dancing With The Stars or Strictly Come Dancing knows, the most important thing following a mistake is to always carry on.
But after a small mishap during her performance with Mark Ballas on last night's DWTS, Katherine Jenkins couldn't face continuing - stopping, unable to carry on, as she had what appeared to be a panic attack onstage.
After a particularly difficult move which saw Katherine bend over and Mark put his leg over the Welsh singer, she appeared to suffer some kind of injury on her back, causing her to stumble.

Breakdown: Katherine Jenkins covered her face with her hands after stumbling during her performance with Mark Ballas on last night's Dancing With The Stars

What happened to the diva? The 31-year-old falls and fails to finish her dance on Mark Ballas' knee
However, instead of putting the error behind her and moving on with the routine to Akon's Bonanza,, Katherine, 31, stopped stock still.
She immediately covered her eyes with her hands, gasping and shaking while Ballas soothingly repeated 'I've got you'.
Host Tom Bergeron also seemed concerned, telling her there was no cause to apologise.

Come on, darling: Mark attempted to comfort a clearly shaken Katherine, who burst into tears after her mistake
Concern: Ballas was clearly worried about his dance partner, with whom he has built a strong friendship
But despite the stumble, Dancing With The Stars judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli didn't score the pair too badly - giving them a very generous 27 out of 30.
Katherine eemed shell-shocked, muttering over and over again: 'I'm so sorry Mark.'
She smiled briefly only when realising her score was relatively high for how badly she landed.

At least she looked good! The soprano bared her belly in a green genie costume

Before the drama: Katherine had appeared to be giving it her all earlier in the performance
She explained to her partner backstage: 'I just felt my back go as I bent. I'm so sorry if I've let you down.'
Katherine later wrote on her Twitter page: 'Thank you for all your concerned tweets... I'm with the Doctor, he says it was a reflectorical spasm in my lower back.'
At least she looked fabulous during her routine. Though earlier in the evening she said she was hesitant to show her stomach, she finally flaunted her midriff in a green belly dancer costume.

Shell shocked: Katherine Jenkins got emotional onstage after stumbling during her salsa on Dancing With the Stars tonight
Despondent star: The blonde bombshell looks resigned as she waits to hear her score
It was an emotional time for the mezzo-soprano, who had just watched footage of her relationship and eventual split from former fiancé Gethin Jones.
However, Katherine said she has found being on Dancing With The Stars cathartic, adding: 'The whole process has gotten me back on my feet again.'

Partner support: Ballas had to hold on to Jenkins after the show

Not too bad! Katherine managed a small smile after she realised the error hadn't cost them on the scorefront - as they got 27 out of 30
