They both wore similar outfits, but there was clear distinction between Selena Gomez and Katy Perry at the Nickeloden Kids' Choice Awards this evening.

The two stars turned up to the children's event in bralets and miniskirts to walk the red-carpet at the Galen Center at USC in Los Angeles tonight.

But while the 19-year-old singer and actress looked elegant in her printed and bedazzled two-piece, the 27-year-old pop star tried to avoid being slimed by wearing an ensemble resembling the green goo.

The newly single star's top looked like she was dripping in the matter and her skirt also possessed a similar squiggly design.

As well as her bright green clothing, Katy had also attached a purple and turquoise hair piece ponytail to her already blue hair.

Meanwhile while it may have been a children's event, it didn't stop Heidi Klum wearing one of her sexy outfits.

The 38-year-old slipped her supermodel figure into a skin-tight minidress and thigh-high boots for event.

The Project Runway star looked stunning in the attire as she walked the red-carpet and greeted the throngs of screaming fans.
