Christina Aguilera sends The Voice's oldest contestant chose her R&B singers Geoff McBride and Sera Hill

Busty Christina Aguilera nearly spills out of her top as she sends The Voice's oldest contestant Geoff McBride,51, home over her favourite Sera Hill

Distraction: Christina Aguilera provided her own spectacle during The Voice round two battles tonight, by wearing a precariously flimsy outfit

For the first battle on Monday night's battle round of The Voice, Christina Aguilera chose her R&B singers Geoff McBride and Sera Hill.

In their very different styles they tackled Chain of Fools, with some help from Lionel Richie and Jewel as their respective mentors.
The resulting cacophony was more pleasing than the riotous din it threatened to be, but while the judges noted they could be a group, there was only ever going to be one winner.

'Being 51 years old,' Geoff said, 'I have an advantage simply because this is the stuff I grew up on.'
He even impressed Lionel as the icon punched his hands into the air when he first heard Geoff's voice. 'Boom! His delivery is unbelievable,' Lionel exclaimed.

'There's no microphone! This is not coming off of a speaker!' Lionel suggested that Geoff not wear his sunglasses on stage to make some eye contact with the audience, so Geoff wore his glasses.
Sera may not have been able to project as loudly as Geoff, but Jewel still believed in her contestant.
'At the end of the day, volume only goes so far. If you can bring more emotion and more story and more heart than Geoff is, you're going to win,' Jewel said.

Battle of the bust tape: Christina's tremulous cleavage's bid to stay under her plunging neckline was as gripping as many of the sing-offs

Tough night: There were choices to be made and wardrobe malfunctions to narrowly avoid
The performance impressed all the judges. 'I'm pleasantly surprised. The energy was very high. You kind of work well like a group,' Cee-Lo said.

'Clearly they can both sing the crap out of a song,' added Blake.
In the end, the decision fell to Christina, who was so moved by Sera earlier in the competition that she jumped up to join her on stage.
'You know I love you both and I love the growth that you both have shown me, but honestly, I've got to go with my gut. The winner is Sera.'
Blake had to chose between Charlotte and Lex singing massive hit, Foster the People's Pumped up Kicks.
