Dancing queen: Snooki showed of her moves in the new advertisement

The 24-year-old posted a picture of herself in a tiny black skirt which demonstrated exactly how much weight she has lost.

She used to be renowned for her generously curvy frame.
But Jersey Shore star Snooki is sporting a much trimmer frame of late and it appears she doesn't need any excuse to show it either.

In the snap Snooki displayed a style that is far from her outfits she sported in Seaside and might even be considered by some as a little more fashion forward for her.

Yet the pint-sized star clearly had other ideas and tweeted: 'My style ;) gaudy tacky and extremely out there.'

As well as showing off her slim figure Snooki also gave fans a sneak peek at a new advert for a fat-loss pill she is promoting.

The reality star teamed the black skirt with a bright green leopard print zipped up jacket and a pair of monochrome striped platform boots.

Snooki has been claimed Zantrex-3 products are the secret to behind her recent weight loss, and is now appearing in an advertisement where she dances and shows off her new look.

Enjoying herself: No doubt the cash she was earning made this dance even more fun than usual
And while the reality television personality sees no problem in cashing in on her newly sleek legs, she has already been criticised for promoting an unhealthy approach to weight loss.

Initially Snooki, real name Nicole Polizzi, claimed she had managed to ditch 17 pounds from her 4'9 frame during the show's trip to Italy through strict dieting and exercise.

She even made daily tweets about her routine, how she was cutting down on food and alcohol, and talked up the benefits of water.

However she is now boasting that she used the over-the-counter drug twice a day before she exercises to give her 'energy to work out.'
The pills contain herbs including yerba mate, green tea, guarana, and caffeine.

The most active ingredient seems to be the caffeine, with the drug's safety information warning against combining the pills with other 'caffeine-containing medications, foods or beverages because too much caffeine may cause nervousness, irritability, sleeplessness and occasionally, rapid heartbeat.'
And while she is no stranger to controversy, she has been criticised by medical professionals for promoting a 'quick fix.'
Dr Keith Ayoob, associate professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine told ABC: 'This is outrageous. It's a perfect example of bad endorsement.
'It's a quick fix, potentially a dangerous one, and celebs may have a high profile, but they're often not very credible sources.'

Jumping jack flash: The reality personality claims the pills give her extra gas

Dr. Carl Lavie, Director of the Stress Testing Lab at John Ochsner Heart and Vascular Institute added exercising after taking the pill could be bad for the heart.

He said: 'For young, healthy people, a small to modest dose of caffeine should not be very risky, but even in young people, bur more so in older with underlying heart disease, high doses of caffeine can cause a number of bad heart rhythm.'

Doctors have also spoken out because Zantrex-3 is sold  over-the-counter and billed as a supplement, which means it is not regulated by the US Food and Drug Administration.
Martin Binks, Clinical Director and CEO of Binks Behavioral Health, said: 'The primary issue here is that the potential consequences of taking these OTC concoctions is a complete unknown since they are not tested for safety, efficacy or even to ensure they contain what they say they do in the amounts on the label.'

Safe? Medical experts have spoken out to criticise the drug as it is not approved by the US Food and Drug Administration
