Stacy Keibler and George Clooney gaze adoringly at each other as they attend The Descendants premiere in Paris

It's meant to be the city of love, but the dreary grey carpet at The Descendants premiere didn't exactly ooze A-list chic.

But Paris has obviously sprinkled its charm on George Clooney and girlfriend Stacy Keibler judging by their look of love.

The couple are currently on the French leg of their promotion, busily plugging the former ER star's new film.

Stacy, a former professional wrestler, looked the picture of elegance posing in a strapless floor-length gown, delicately decorated with jewels.

Clooney, 51, was the perfect gentleman, allowing her to share his limelight and clutching her hand throughout the duration of the 'red' carpet walk.

The 32-year-old blonde played the dutiful girlfriend, smiling for the cameras and letting him lead the way.
