Helena Bonham Carter stands out in mismatched shoes at the Golden Globes

Helena Bonham Carter stands out in mismatched shoes at the Golden Globes
She's never had a conservative sense of style, so it was a safe bet that Helena Bonham Carter was going to stand out on the red carpet last night.
However, the famously kooky actress chose a particularly unusual approach by wearing odd shoes - although they were at least matching.
Helena's look was eye-catching enough, with her plunging multi-coloured Vivienne Westwood dress teamed with birds nest-style backcombed hair.

The overall effect was somehow dishevelled and yet carefully put together.
Helena told an interviewer: 'If you're going to spend three hours getting ready you may as well go for it.'
Bonham Carter was not nominated for a Globe despite a sensational performance in the King's Speech opposite Colin Firth that has had British film critics raving.
The 44-year-old has however been nominated TWICE by Bafta for best supporting actress for her role as Queen Elizabeth and as the Red Queen in Alice in Wonderland.
And the day before the Globes she turned out for the British Academy of Film and Television's annual tea party in LA.
Again she wore Vivienne Westwood, this time a low-cut polka dot number that showed off her curvy physique.
The event was held at the Four Season hotel in Beverly Hills and saw the likes of Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Love Hewitt and True Grit star Hailee Steinfeld turn out.
Now a staple fixture in the awards season calendar, the annual event is put on ahead of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts awards.
