Furious Emmanuel Macron finally speaks out over claims his wife Brigitte was born a MAN: French president discusses effect on the couple's 'intimacy' - after his step-daughter re-introduced the rumour in an interview

French President Emmanuel Macron has finally addressed the ongoing claims that his wife, Brigitte Macron, was born a man, denouncing the rumors as "false and fabricated." Speaking on International Women's Day, Macron expressed his frustration with the continual speculation surrounding his wife, whom he married in 2007, stating that such misinformation disturbs their privacy and can have a significant impact.

Macron highlighted that the transgender claims about his wife are part of a broader issue of misogynistic attacks that women face on a daily basis, particularly on social media platforms. He drew attention to the fact that these false narratives can gain traction and harm individuals, disrupting their personal lives and relationships.

The controversy surrounding Brigitte Macron's alleged transgender identity resurfaced recently after her daughter, Tiphaine Auzière, publicly discussed the accusations for the first time. Auzière expressed her concerns about the level of society when false information circulates on social networks and targets her mother. She also shared her personal experience of discovering her teacher mother's relationship with a teenage Emmanuel Macron when she was just 10 years old.

The individuals responsible for spreading the transgender rumors, Amandine Roy and Natacha Rey, faced legal consequences for their actions. Initially, both women were fined significant amounts for libel, but their punishments were later reduced on appeal. The case involved claims that Brigitte Macron was actually born as a baby boy named Jean-Michel Trogneux in 1953, using the name of Brigitte's brother. The defendants also alleged that Brigitte's first husband, André-Louis Auzière, never existed.

Witnesses, including Catherine and Jean-Louis Auzière, testified in court to refute the claims made by Rey and Roy. Jean-Louis Auzière, Brigitte Macron's former uncle, confirmed that she is not a man, countering the false accusations. The case eventually concluded with symbolic fines, accepted by all parties involved, as a final settlement.

The transphobic rumors surrounding Brigitte Macron gained traction among far-right groups, such as the Yellow Vests and anti-vaccine protesters, during Emmanuel Macron's 2022 re-election campaign. These groups used the claims to attack the president and his policies. The YouTube video produced by Rey and Roy, which propagated the false allegations, has since been removed from the platform.

Emmanuel Macron's public address on the matter highlights his commitment to defending his wife from baseless and harmful rumors. By speaking out against the false information, Macron aims to protect their privacy and challenge the misogynistic attacks that women, including his wife, face in the public sphere.
