Pedro Pascal's New Movie Features a Shocking Death Similar to His Game of Thrones Role

Pedro Pascal, known for his acclaimed performances in "Game of Thrones," "The Mandalorian," and "The Last of Us," continues to showcase his acting versatility in 2024. Following the success of "The Last of Us," Pascal has three films releasing this year: "Freaky Tales" (January), "Drive-Away Dolls" (February), and the upcoming "Gladiator 2" (November).

While all three showcase his diverse range, "Drive-Away Dolls" offers a surprising parallel to his iconic "Game of Thrones" character.

A Gruesome Déjà Vu

In "Drive-Away Dolls," Pascal's character, Santos, meets a brutal end in the opening scene, mirroring the shocking demise of Oberyn Martell in "Game of Thrones." Both characters suffer the same gruesome fate of having their eyes gouged out. This deliberate echo, while undeniably unique, serves as a clear homage to Pascal's past role.

Beyond the Shocking Cameo

Pascal's role in "Drive-Away Dolls" extends beyond a mere nod to his "Game of Thrones" character. It also marks his most unconventional performance since his flamboyant cowboy portrayal in "Kingsman: The Golden Circle." In "Drive-Away Dolls," he embodies an even more bizarre character, appearing as a decapitated head for the majority of the film. Though unconventional, this role effectively demonstrates the impressive range and adaptability of Pedro Pascal as an actor.
