Coleen Nolan draws criticism from fans as they question her vocals during Naked tour performance: 'I love her but this sounds so awful'

Coleen Nolan faced criticism from fans following her performance during her one-woman tour in Blackpool last week.

The 58-year-old singer took the stage at the Blackpool Grand Theatre as part of her Naked tour, where she sang various songs, including "Shout out to My Ex" by Little Mix, "Stop" by the Spice Girls, and The Nolans' 1979 single "I'm in the Mood for Dancing."

Wearing a glamorous sequined black jumpsuit that accentuated her waist, Coleen engaged the audience, encouraging them to dance along. Her ex-husband, Ray Fensome, joined her backing band on guitar.

However, some critics questioned the quality of her vocals after watching footage of the performance online. One person expressed disappointment, stating that Coleen sounded "awful" and praised her son's singing ability instead. They also suggested that she should avoid walking around the stage as it affected her breath control and overall performance.

Another individual commented on YouTube, describing the performance as "cringeworthy," while someone else remarked that they would not pay to see such a show.

Despite the criticism, there were also positive comments from fans who enjoyed the performance and appreciated that Coleen sang live, without miming to a track.

Coleen is scheduled to perform in various locations across the UK as part of her tour, including Bolton, Dundee, Aberdeen, Stockport, and Croydon. In these shows, she showcases her favorite songs and interacts with the audience, answering their questions.

In a recent interview on Kaye Adams' How To Be 60 podcast, Coleen discussed the possibility of marrying her partner, Michael Jones, in the future but emphasized the importance of a prenuptial agreement. She expressed reluctance due to the financial difficulties she faced during her previous divorces from Shane Richie and Ray Fensome. Coleen emphasized the need for clarity and working out the financial aspects in advance to avoid the emotional and legal complications that come with divorce.

Despite her reservations about prenuptial agreements, Coleen acknowledged the importance of protecting herself and ensuring a fair process if the relationship were to end. She spoke about the traumatic experience of dividing assets during her last divorce and the desire to have a clear legal framework in place.

In her current tour, Coleen maintains a friendly relationship with Ray, who is actively involved in the show as a guitarist. She described her relationship with Michael as a mature and equal partnership, highlighting her growth and the absence of teenage-like dynamics.

Overall, while Coleen Nolan faced criticism for her vocals during her performance, she also received support from fans who enjoyed the show. She continues to pursue her passion for singing and performing, engaging audiences across the country.

The presenter shared how her personal life has been quite unpredictable due to her work, and she desires peace in that aspect. She expressed gratitude for her partner, who brings a sense of calmness to her otherwise hectic life. She described the absence of drama as a beautiful feeling that she had never experienced before.

During the course of their relationship, the presenter revealed that she had broken up with Michael multiple times. To address her own emotional turmoil, she sought therapy to navigate her feelings and gain clarity.

Reflecting on her past actions, she acknowledged that the decision to end the relationship had nothing to do with Michael himself. She admitted that she struggled with being in a relationship characterized by stability and support. She cited instances where she would mention simple tasks like going to the supermarket, and he would offer to accompany her, which took her by surprise.

In retrospect, she realized that she had been inadvertently pushing away the very things she desired in a relationship due to her unfamiliarity with such a dynamic.
