Delays on M6 northbound following crash involving sheep on the carriageway
Sheep have been noticed in both carriageways of the M6 between junctions 32 for the M55 and junction 33 for Lancaster.
National Highways have warned motorists that they're working to reopen the carriageways as quickly as feasible.
A spokesperson stated: "Traffic has been stopped at the M6 in each instructions among junction 32 for the M55 and junction 33 for Lancaster because of a collision regarding a vehicle transporting sheep.
"The sheep are being transferred to every other vehicle."
Police have counseled motorists that they may be working as quickly as viable to get drivers transferring again.
A spokesperson for the police said: "Good afternoon all, Please be aware we currently have a closure at the M6 between junctions 32 and 33 in both guidelines because of sheep within the carriageway.
"We're operating to reopen this as soon as viable. Many thanks in your persistence."
