Greggs manager Roger Whiteside to leave high road bread shop chain
Roger Whiteside, the CEO of high road bread shop chain Greggs, has declared designs to this year resign from the organization he has driven beginning around 2013.
The chief, who is 63, will venture down from the post after Greggs' yearly gathering in May. He will be prevailed by Roisin Currie, the FTSE 250 association's retail and property chief.
The update came as the firm announced final quarter deals up on a similar period in 2019.
Whiteside has gone through over forty years in the retail area, having recently worked at firms like Punch Taverns, Marks and Spencer and Ocado.
During his time driving Greggs, the association's domain has developed from around 1600 shops to 2181, and more openings are arranged.
The offers were just shy of 400p per share when he dominated and today remain at around 3311p .
He told the Evening Standard he had needed to resign before he is 65, and "the arrangement is to invest energy with loved ones".
Whiteside will stay accessible to the business to help a handover until January 2023.
In another declaration, the retailer gave an account of exchanging for the year to January 2.
Deals totalled £1.23 billion, up from £811 million and £1.16 billion out of 2020 and 2019 individually.
