Bradford Bulls v Hull FC LIVE - build-up and team news from Odsal

The Black and Whites travel to West Yorkshire for their first outing of the year

Bradford Bulls v Hull FC LIVE updates from Odsal

Hello and welcome along to this afternoon's live Hull FC coverage as the Black and Whites take on Bradford Bulls in their first pre-season friendly of the year.

Brett Hodgson has named a young squad for the trip to Odsal with just a handful of first-team regulars included in the side.

Jamie Shaul, Ligi Sao, Jordan Johnstone, Cam Scott and Brad Fash are all set for game time, with the latter being today's captain.

As such, travelling supporters will be treated to a glimpse of the club's next generation of talent.

While both clubs are preparing for the start of their respective seasons, this afternoon's game will also be used to celebrate the career of Danny Brough, who played for both Bradford and Hull, of course, and was forced to retire last year on medical advice.

We'll be reporting live from Odsal to bring you all the build-up, team news, score updates and match action.

FC haven't been here since 2014

Hull's last visit to Odsal came in August 2014.

The Bulls were the winners on that occasion, running out 34-28 victors. Gareth Ellis scored twice for Hull on the day.

It's a cold one

We're at the top of the Main Stand here at Odsal and it's freezing.

The warm-ups are underway, Marcus Walker and Davy Litten are the first two names out of the tunnel. They'll be joined by their teammates shortly.

Here's the Bradford line-up

A couple of familiar faces.

Matty Dawson-Jones starts on the wing against his old side, while Ebon Scurr is someone Hull had a look at a couple of months ago.

Today is a huge chance for a number of youngsters

Litten gets the chance at full-back after signing his three-year deal this week. Marcus Walker and Callum Rutland are in the halves, while there are five 17-year-olds in the side, with Wacokecoke, Harman, Staveley, Jebson and Martin set to be involved.

Good afternoon!

Welcome along to today's live Hull FC coverage as Brett Hodgson takes his side to Bradford Bulls for a pre-season friendly.

It's the first of two trial matches the Black and Whites will play this month, with a clash against Leeds Rhinos scheduled to be played in a fortnight's time at Headingley Stadium.

The head coach has named an extremely young squad for this afternoon's clash, with Jamie Shaul, Brad Fash, Ligi Sao, Cam Scott and Jordan Johnstone being the only recognised first-team regulars.

A host of the club's Rising Stars will be hoping for game time, with the likes of Marcus Walker, Aidan Burrell, Charlie Severs and Nick Staveley set to be involved, while Davy Litten, fresh from penning his first professional deal, should also get minutes.

We'll be live all afternoon to bring you all the latest from Odsal.
