A Reading street is closed because of a 'significant episode' today (Wednesday, December 15).

Grovelands Road is shut down to deal with the two bearings between Brisbane Road and A329 Oxford Road.

Regal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service and other crisis administrations are at the scene - with conclusion set up out and about since around 3.20am.

A fire administration representative said: "We are currently at the location of a critical occurrence in the Grovelands Road space of Reading. Various fire machines are joining in and streets in the space are blocked."

A South Central Ambulance Service representative said: "We are at present going to a significant episode in Grovelands Road, Reading with Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service and Thames Valley Police. Kindly stay away from the space."

Perusing Buses has said a few administrations are being redirected because of the episode.

Inrix, the traffic information organization, said: "Grovelands Road shut down because of building fire at a house between Brisbane Road and A329 Oxford Road.

"Since early toward the beginning of today. Redirection - for transports 15, 15a and 88."
