 Live updates as M1 in Derbyshire shut in the two ways 

The M1 is shut in the two ways with police worried for the wellbeing of a walker on an extension. 

The street is shut down between Junction 29 for Chesterfield and Junction 29a for Matlock and Mansfield, with the A632 in Duckmanton additionally shut close to the scene. 

Officials were first called at around 12:15pm today and immediately shut the M1 in the two ways, with redirections set up through Chesterfield.

The M1 in Derbyshire is shut in the two ways somewhere in the range of J30 and J29 because of a Derbyshire Police-drove episode. 

Roadways England is prompting street clients heading out southward are encouraged to follow the Hollow Square images. 

– Exit at J30 and take the principal exit on to the A616 east for around 300m. 

– At the traffic circle in Barlborough take the fourth exit on to the A619 south-westwards. 

– Continue to Chesterfield and at the traffic circle with the A61 take the primary exit. 

– Follow the A61 south to the traffic circle with the A617. 

– Take the main exit on to the A617 eastward and proceed to J29 of the M1. 

Street clients heading out northward are encouraged to follow the Hollow Triangle images. 

– Exit at J29 and require the subsequent exit on to the A617 westward. 

– Continue to the traffic circle with the A61 in Chesterfield. 

– Take the fourth exit on to the A61 northward. 

– At the traffic circle with the A619 take the fourth exit. 

– Follow the A619 eastward to the traffic circle with the A616. 

– Take the primary leave exit on to the A616 and west to J30 of the M1.
