Kobe Bryant crash: Probe embarked on whether deputies shared graphic photos of remains
LOS ANGELES — The L.A. sheriff's department is investigating whether deputies may have shared graphic photos of human remains from the location of the helicopter crash that killed Kobe Bryant, his daughter and 7 others.
"We're looking into things ," said l. a. County Sheriff's spokeswoman, Deputy Grace Medrano.
The photos are imagined to are seen on smartphones and shown to others, the l. a. Times reported. The newspaper reported that one source, which it didn't name, let another person take a peek at a photograph on his phone. While the photos were reportedly viewed aside from the crash investigation, it had been unknown whether or not they were shot at the scene by a primary responder or received from somebody else .
Bryant and daughter Gianna, 13, were passengers on the Sikorsky S-76B helicopter that crashed last month on a foggy morning during a mountainous area of Calabasas, California. A preliminary investigation determined the helicopter hit the bottom at high speed and therefore the wreckage was scattered over an outsized area near a hilltop. there have been no survivors.
The explanation for the crash has not been determined. The National Transportation Safety Board, which is investigating the accident, previously released photos of the wreckage, but no bodies are often seen
