Russia has closed its border with China during a desperate bid to stop the spread of the deadly coronavirus that has thus far killed 170 people. 

The drastic measure was announced on Thursday after every corner of China was confirmed to possess cases of the highly contagion . 

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said the drastic measure was necessary because the country 'had to try to to everything it could to guard its people'. He said it might inherit effect immediately.

As well as shutting off the Far East border, Russia has limited all railway links with China from January 31, leaving only direct trains between Moscow and Beijing. 

Mr Mishustin also revealed Russia will stop issuing Chinese citizens electronic visas, which might be wont to cross into parts of the country. 
Russia doesn't have any confirmed cases of the new virus but the govt has found out a task force to trace down and screen people that have travelled from Wuhan, to stop its possible spread. 
Earlier in the week , Russia blocked tourist groups from China from entering the country.
Chinese officials have now confirmed quite 7,900 cases, while quite 100 are recorded outside of nation.
Deaths have also risen to 170, with 38 patients dying in at some point - the most important 24-hour jump since the outbreak began last month.

It comes after three Japanese people that were evacuated from Wuhan have tested positive for coronavirus - while India has become the newest country to verify a case.

Two of the japanese nationals didn't show symptoms once they boarded the plane on Wednesday - fuelling fears hosts of the virus could also be spreading it unwittingly.

They were among 206 passengers flown to Tokyo from the epicentre of the outbreak, which has thus far killed 170 and infected nearly 8,000 worldwide.

While the overwhelming majority of cases are in China, quite 100 have appeared in about 20 other countries and territories, including the US, Canada, France and Australia.
