Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte went on a boat trip in the south of France ahead of welcoming world leaders to Biarritz for the G7 summit.
The 41-year-old French president showed off his summer body while jet skiing near Fort de Bregançon just a day before meeting with Russian president Vladimir Putin.
Putin met with Macron for talks last Monday at the fortress on France's Mediterranean coast a week before the start of the G7 conference.
The Russian president took the opportunity to take a swipe at Macron following the meeting by suggesting anti-government protests such as the Yellow Vest movement would never happen in Moscow.
A day earlier Macron and his wife Brigitte, 66, enjoyed a day out in the sun during an excursion on a speed boat.
The French president was seen relaxing in a T-shirt and shorts after stripping off and going topless while taking in some rays.
He then donned a life jacket and swung into action, jumping onto a jet ski to hit the waves before coming back to the shore.
After their day out on the sea, the Macrons headed across southern France to Biarritz on the Atlantic coast to host the leaders of Canada, Germany, Italy, Japan, Britain and the US.
