– Randy Orton did get married this weekend to his fiancee Kim, as
indicated by some tweets that she and Orton’s mom posted earlier this
weekend.
Monday night, WWE released the first concrete information on Randy Orton since he was missed house shows and the Raw before Hell in a Cell
without warning. That absence triggered a complete overhaul of the
Kickoff Match for that show, and seemingly left Dean Ambrose without a
feud mate for the next few months.
After a couple of weeks filled with rumors about how The Viper
sustained/aggravated the shoulder injury, WWE.com posted some news and
it’s not good.
Three weeks ago, it was reported that Randy Orton did not appear on Monday Night Raw at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. Although it is still unclear as to whether Bray Wyatt was directly responsible for The Viper’s absence that night, as initial speculation indicated, WWE.com can now confirm that Orton’s injuries are significant, and will keep him from stepping into a WWE ring for an extended period of time.
“Randy has suffered from a dislocated shoulder. He’s had chronic problems with his shoulder, and a recent MRI that was done found he has a Bankart lesion in his shoulder, some stretched ligaments and a partially torn rotator cuff,” WWE physician Dr. Steve Daquino told WWE.com. “At this point it’s a matter of when he dislocates the shoulder again, and not if. It looks like he might require surgery, and recovery time for such a surgery would be four to six months.”
Stay with WWE.com as more details on Orton’s condition become available.
WWE is keeping open the possibility of using Bray Wyatt as the
kayfabe reason for Orton’s absence, which adds to a successful
rebuilding of his aura for his current program with The Undertaker. “The
Viper” last competed on the Oct. 12 episode of Raw, where he teamed up with Dean Ambrose to take on Big E and Kofi Kingston.
While WWE reported that Orton will be out four to six months with his
shoulder injury, according to F4WOnline.com, it will likely be closer
to six since the injury is similar to what Sami Zayn and Hideo Itami
have been dealing with. If that’s the case, he could be sidelined until
May and will most likely miss WrestleMania 32 on April 3, 2015.
